Sasha and Anton – Sneak Peek – Vancouver Wedding Photography
This Saturday I was honoured to photographed Sasha and Anton during their wedding day in Vancouver. Beautiful couple, gorgeous ceremony at the Russian Orthodox Church and a reception at one of Vancouvers most stunning venues, UBC Boathouse. It was a wonderful mix of modern and traditional Russian wedding. Here is a glimpse of what was truly a magical day.

Bree and Dave – Vancouver Engagement Photography
Bree and Dave are about to move to San Francisco and before they left they wanted to get their engagement shots done in the city in which they met and fell in love – Vancouver. We weren’t sure what would happen with the weather because the day before was dark, grey and miserable but fortune smiled upon lovers and we had an amazing sunny afternoon. To start off the shoot we met, very appropriately, in front of the ‘LOVE” statue by Robert Indiana and then we moved over to Stanley Park to take some pictures with the city in the background and the stunning sunset as a backdrop I think they got some engagement photos that will always remind them of this beautiful city.

Fraser River Lodge – Vancouver Wedding Photographer
Even though this was the second wedding I shot at the Fraser River Lodge there was several “firsts” on this day. It was the first time I was shooting with Linda from Westside Photography as her second shooter and it was a blast, she is not only a great photographer but also a fun person to hang out with on New years Eve. Yes – that was the other “first” for me – New years Eve wedding, smart move for the groom who will never forget his anniversary.
I started the day with Joe and his groomsmen, a great bunch of guys from 3 continents! The weather could not have been better and some of the shots with the mountains in the background look like they were taken in front of a green screen. But even though it was sunny the temperature was very low and Ashley and her bridesmaids bravely posed for us outside in their beautiful but not very warm dresses. Included in the post is my first shot of 2011 – taken exactly one second after midnight.

How does this work again?!

Chad and Jaclyn | Vancouver Wedding Photographer
Here are the images from the final wedding of the season. I was a second shooter once again for Jen from JMB Photography and as always shooting with her was loads of fun. Wedding was at the Barkley Brook and the location and the decorations were in matching fall colors – even the groomsmen wore orange vests to match the decor. The couple was gorgeous, the weather perfect (it rained the day before and the day after) and the apricot jam we got as a wedding favour was delicious with some nice goat cheese

Lee and Renee Engagement Session | Vancouver Wedding Photographer
Last week I went out to the Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver for the first time. The occasion – Lee and Renee got engaged during their recent trip to California and Vegas. Lee and I met few years back as we cruised together around Australia and played poker in the Southern Pacific (you can see his poker face in some of the shots). The wedding is gonna be somewhere in the sunny Caribbean but we figured that the engagement session should be here at home and the Lighthouse park seemed like a perfect BC setting.
